The real McCoy! This is an authentic blues bar in the heart of London, with three floors and different music playing in the basement joint (northern soul, funk) than the main venue, mainly blues and rhythm and blues. The food is simple but I had one of the best hamburgers in town. The coctails are also great, especially the house Mint Julep: Four Roses Bourbon with mint and lime. I will definitely go back...

Great place for breakfast in Tel Aviv Marina. I recomend the Middle Eastern breakfast with mint lemonade and a selection of salads and vegetables. The setting is great, next to the sea side, at weekends is always busy with locals, not just tourists... A nice walk alongside the marina is a must after the big breakfast. There is a farmer´s market next door on Friday morning. Parking is the only problem, try to walk or use alternative transport if you can.

Great turkish restaurant in a working class area. Many turkish people eat here, which is always the best guarantee. Inside the decoration is quite plain, if the weather is nice I recommend eating outside in the side terrace. I had lamb in yogurt, aubergine and garlic sauce. One of the best turkish meals I've had. The coffee is not that great though... and they were out of baklava, also a good sign, but disappointing nonetheless....

This minimalist café in the heart of Soho serves mooli (an indian take on the burrito) stuffed with a choice of asparagus paneer (cheese), chicken, pork, beef or goat. The deco is clean, funky and welcoming and you can even play chess while you eat. It is perfect for pre or after cinema or theatre. We especially recommend goan pork mooli with pomegranate salsa.

A beautiful shop dedicated to the Bauhaus architectural style that is very frequent in Tel-Aviv. The shop offers very unique design or vintage items. The owner Micha Gross was inspired by his wife who is a tourist guide making Tel Aviv tours and was
enthusiastic about the fact that Tel Aviv is actually the Bauhaus capital of the world. Micha embraced the idea and expanded it to a shop and a small exhibition center of the Bauhaus style that includes items from the period and also guided tours in Tel Aviv to see the representative buildings of the Bauhaus in the city.

Great german restaurant in a quiet suburb of Hannover. We went there twice in our three day visit. I recommend the cabbage filled with mince meat, also the sausages with sauerkraut of the viennesse schnitzel. The restaurant looks more like a traditional pub and the beer is excellent. Especially the wheat beer, a local speciality. We did not try the desserts, we were too stuffed by the end of the meal. It is nice sitting outside if the weather is good. The food is so great and authentic it is a must if you happen to be in Hannover.

Great fish restaurant in the newly regenerated Tel Aviv Port. As usual you could eat just with the salads served as a starter, they are delicious and quite healthy. Before you go in make sure that they have aubergine in tahini (with lots of garlic), it is a whole aubergine dipped in garlic overnight and covered in tahini, it is out of this world! For a main dish I recommend any of the main fish dishes (buri is good, not sure of the name in English), one main is normally fine for 2 or even 3 people, depending on how hungry you are. It is great to sit outside on a summer evening enjoying the sea breeze and a glass of cold white wine.

Friendly family restaurant next to Mondariz Spa. The service is friendly and effective. Great wine list and the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. The location next to a little stream (regato in Galician) makes it all the most charming for an evening meal The desserts are also to die for, especially the chocolate and walnut cake, but also the biscuit and cream one.
