Great find in Rome.
I am a no frills kind of traveler traveling with my little sister (17yo) for the first time and needed a hotel as a convenient base for our weekend of tourism. I was extremely happy and pleasantly surprised by this B&B after reading/hearing about all the bad hotel experiences in Rome. I think the term B&B is very loosely used in Rome - it mean you get a room and something to eat in the morning. The breakfasts was a juice box, packaged crossiant and a cappachino/tea - not gourmet but a nice start to get some caffiene in me and food in my stomach before taking off in the morning...also, since they are packaged one day we just drank the drinks and took the juice and croissants for snacks later and we had breakfast on the street. Location, couldn´t really be too much better, from the corner of the block you could see the Colosseum, about a 5 minutes walk away. (i´m a fast walker) It´s a nice little neighborhood with many services and restaurants in the area and about a 2 minute walk from Metro stop Cavour. (which by the way is a direct line to the slower/cheaper train line to Fiumicino Airport). There is 24hr reception with a nice man on the nice shift, who spoke a little English but enough to get by. The day guy who brings breakfast to your room was also really pleasant and has better English. The room it self was not huge but also not tiny, it was comfortable and the bed was great. Bathroom was newly redone with a nice shower with great water pressure. When I get back to Rome again I will definitely stay at the Centro Romano and will suggest it to all of my friends!
