The Lime Tree is a popular restuarant and once you´ve been there and tried the food you will understand why it´swon awards in the past. Food is excellent, service is good and although it´s not cheap - it is most definitly value for money.
There is a large wine list and the food menu changes frequently and there is also an ´early menu´ from 5.45 - 6.00pm which is certainly great value for money and offers 3 courses for 16 pounds. Although all the food is good this restuarant is well known for its Sticky Toffee Pudding - trust me, it won´t dissapoint.

one of my favourite restaurants in madrid!! Prices are reasonable and food is delicious! The nachos with guacamole and queso are to die for! All the food is good and worth trying and a mojito to wash it all down with couldn´t be a better choice. Really great place.

Great place and soooo cheap!! It´s a nice cafe that has raciones for about 8euros and smaller tapas from as cheap as 1 euro!! There were huevos rotos for €1,50 and they were well worth the money. The prawns were also delicious! Staff were really friendly. Definitly worth checking out for a caña and some tapas and the prices will tempt you into staying for more then just the one!

The Didsbury Pub
This has to be the best place in Didsbury to go for a drink or pub grup on a summers day. The pub itself is nice inside and out but it is most popular during hot weather for it´s beer garden at the front of the pub. Theres lots of benches to sit, eat, drink and relax and some parasols for those who prefer the shade.
The food is good pub food such as, sandwiches, bar snacks and larger dishes. You have to go to the bar to order (take note of your table number) and they then bring the food to your table.
Another advantage to the pub is it is right next to Fletcher Moss Park and Parsonage Gardens so perfect if you really want to take advantage of the nice weather.
Tip - on a summers day sat in the beer garden here, the perfect drink has to be a Magners

Great location right next to Kendals department store. This chain offers some of the best steaks you can find outside of Argentina and furthermore, in Manchester. Prices are fairly expensive but you are paying for quality as these steak really are superb. Furthermore, the inside of the restaurant is quite impressive with a very modern design.
If you don´t like meat then there are a few seafood choices but at the end of the day if you go to the gaucho grill a steak is what you just have to try!

Take away that is a good as a restaurant
This is literally the best take away I have ever ordered!! Not only is the food delivered fresh and to a very high standard but they don´t use MSG and the food available ranges from Japanese. Thai, Mexican and Chinese. They also sell beers, wine and desserts.
Home delivery is availble within a 3 mile radius and if the order is over 14pounds then it is free. You also have the option to pick it up yourself or go to the take away itself and order.
The pizzas have a fresh, homeade taste as oppose to somwhere like Pizza Hut. I highly reccomend the Red Thai Curry, the pizzas or Malaysaian Rendang - actually I recommend it all!! My mouth is watering just thinking about the delicious food from here! The food is comparable to a restuarant!

Another very good restuarant in the centre of Didsbury Village. Always full with good prices, food, service and atmosphere making this a good all round Italian. It´s also another place which is great during summer as they open the whole front side of the restaurant so you can feel like you´re eating outside, inside. They also put a few tables and chairs outside as well.
As this restuarant is popular booking is advised, however, if you just turn up there is a small bar/seating area whilst you wait.

Although it might look like your average sized restaurant from the outside, do not be fooled, this restaurant is huge!! The food is very good quality but expensive for what it is and this restuarant tends to attract a more upmarket crowd as well as some celebrities.
Although the place is very big service is good, even on a Saturday night as they have a very big work force. There is a nice bar where you can have a drink whilst you wait for a table if you want. The best thing about this restaurant (apart from the food) is the atmosphere. The waiters are all typially italian nd bring a lively atmopshere to the place. If it´s anybodies birthday then they all gather around the table to sing Happy Birthday which can be quite funny to watch.
If you want a lively atmopshere this place is great...if you want cosy or cheap then this is not the place to go.

Fish & Chips
Fish & Chips have to be tried at least once in your life. In general they taste better from a take away (and if you happen to be on the coast then they are even more tastier) . Salt and vinegar are a must as well as pot of mushy peas.
A great take away is the Golden Gate ( on the road into Stockport) which is always popular and has fish, chips, pies etc. as well as chinese food to take away.
However, if you don´t want to get a take away but still want fish and chips then Harry Ramsden´s restaurants are the next best thing. They´ve not got quite that chip shop taste but they serve a good portion for a good price yet in restaurant style setting. There located all over England so you´ll be sure to find one near to you.

Roast Dinners...mmmm
If you go to England then you have to try the traditional sunday Roast Dinner. Whilst you can get them in most pubs that serve food, the Toby Carvery is both cheap and good quality and although it is a chain of restaurants it does not dissapoint.
The way it works is you are shown to your seat and drinks orders are taken, then you go up to the carvery for your food. There are usually 3 choices of meat and it is served to you as there is a limit on how much you can get at any one time. After that you move along and you can help yourself to as many vegetables, potatoes and gravy as your belly can handle.
You cna go up as many times as you like and you are only charged the one - it is sort of like an all you can eat roast dinner buffet. There is a small seperate menu for people who don´t want a roast dinner and also a dessers list.
This place is extremely cheap for the amount you can get, the price varies between weekend and week but it still very very cheap at the weekend, so great if you don´t want to cook or if you want to go out in a big group.
