Incredibly sad... i'm happy to know this is not the real Madrid.

cultural activities

For those who come a few days to Madrid, it is worth having a look to the program of Matadero's activities (see the website). It usually has very interesting urban art exhibitions, as well as music and theatre festivals.
Now it is partially closed due to reforms, but it is very interesting anyway.

excellent concerts

It is worthy having a look once in a while to its program (available in their website). They have great concerts, and there is normally very nice atmosphere. The decoration is not ver nice in my opinion, but it is very appropriate for the occasion.

This is a very interesting place. It is a Japanese restaurant, but it has Latinamerican influenced food. I really liked the place and the food. It is good to have a relaxed dinner. They are generally nice and quite quick.

basque pintxos

I've known this place through 11870, and I couldn't be happier! I really like basque food, and here it was great! We really enjoyed the place (decorated like if we were in Euskady), the food, the people...
I would definetely go back.

There are different dishes depending on the day, and they all cost 6€. We ordered 3 dishes for 2 people to share, and it was fine.
It is perfect to go after (or before) seeing a film in the "Roxy" or "Paz" cinemas.

quick and good reparing clothes

when you've broke your trousers for playing stupid a drunk night.. (doesn't mean it happened to me...) they are very good reparing all kinds of clothes.
Also if someone gives you a beautiful shirt but it is too big, they can make it to your size!! Very nice people too.

Basque pintxos in Madrid

This is a place where you can find lots of the typical basque pintxos (small tastes of elaborated dishes.... or something like that, i will try to take a picture the next time).
It has very nice basque food. I loved the cod omelette, the green pepper of Gernika, and the txistorra (a kind of saussige)
there are two floors, the bottom one to have some pintxos, and the upper one to have proper dinner or lunch.

good lunch menu 10€

It is a restaurant near the "Sevilla" metro station. It has simple modern decoration, and a good variety of traditional Eurpean food with a touch of innovation. The food is good, and the price even better: 10€ for a menu with two dishes, dessert and drink.
