Close to the Art Museum's Sculpture Park are The Geometric Gardens --a complex in Herning, West Jutland, 1983 designed by landscape architect C.Th. Sørensen for another site and later realized at Herning by the Committee for the Geometric Gardens.

Louisiana is not merely an experience in modern and contemporary art, but a congenial reflection of the interplay between art, architecture and landscape. Situated in Denmark on the North Zealand coast in a spacious, old park with a fine view across the sound of Sweden. The park serves as an ideal setting for displaying the museum’s collection of modern sculptures. Similarly the prominent museum buildings, constructed between 1958 and 1998, offer a fascinating background for the permanent collection of 20th century art. It houses an exquisite collection by international artists such as Arp, Francis Bacon, Calder, Dubuffet, Max Ernst, Sam Francis, Giacometti, Henry Moore, Picasso, Rauschenberg and Warhol. Architectonically, the new wings are still in harmony with the first Louisiana. But the architects have naturally changed their ideas during the many years that have passed since 1956. New stylistic elements have been introduced here and there, but the continuity has been retained.

KUNSTEN Museum of Modern Art Aalborg was designed by Elissa and Alvar Aalto and Jean-Jacques Baruël, and built between 1968 and 1972.

It is a very flexible building, that, due to the mobile partition wall system, can change character, depending on the requirements of each individual exhibition.

Special note should also be made of the unique use of natural light, which has helped to make the building world famous.

The museum is designed to blend in with its natural surroundings, and like a ziggurat it rises to meet the adjoining hillside. It is situated on the edge of a large area of parks and woodland, and the surrounding vegetation stands in contrast to the precise contours of the building.

The materials used were specially selected. The outer walls, and a large part of the floor area are made of carrara marble, and the light material structure helps to give prominence to the art works.

The total area is approx. 6000sq.m. On the ground floor is the central hall together with an adjoining sculpture hall. Surrounding these are series of long sky lit galleries, seven smaller exhibition rooms, a chamber music room, the entrance hall, and the administration offices.

On the lower ground floor are exhibition rooms, a café, cloakroom, lecture rooms, a study group room, a workshop and a library.

The sculpture park
The museum is encircled by a sculpture park, an amphitheatre and a grassy terrace. A brick wall forms a bridge between the stringent lines of the museum buildings and the wooded slopes behind. On display in the park are sculptures by Gunnar Aagaard Andersen, Willy Ørskov, Lene Adler Petersen, Mogens Møller and, in pride of place, Bjørn Nørgaard’s Klassisk tableau. Drømmeslottet (Classical Tableau. The Dream Castle) – a veritable crystal palace, complete with fluttering banners.

Lonja de los Mercaderes de Guillermo Sagrera

Lonja de los Mercaderes de Palma de Mallorca fue construida por Guillem Sagrera entre 1426 y 1446 y es un uno de los más claros exponentes del gótico civil catalán. Se sitúa entre el paseo de sagrera y la plaza de la llotja. Fue en sus orígenes la sede del Colegio de la Mercadería, y fue un punto de reunión para comerciante, también se uso como bolsa para los barcos que estaban continuamente realizando viajes.
El interior de esta lonja está formado por tres naves de la misma altura separada por seis columnas helicoidales sin capitel, y cuatro tramos transversales cuyas delimitaciones se coronan con pequeños torreones octogonales.
Entre las actuaciones que se están llevando a cabo está la rehabilitación de los paramentos, muros, molduras, esculturas, columnas y pavimento con aplicación de distintas técnicas, en función de la situación en la que los técnicos han encontrado cada elemento. El criterio global de la intervención en la Lonja es la mínima agresividad posible, para que el edificio no pierda la protección que le da la propia piedra.
Es el edificio marítimo más destacado de palma de Mallorca por su fachada.
