Cheap, fast and practically identical to La Finca de Susana (11870.com/pro/la-finca-susana) and Bazaar (11870.com/pro/bazaar).
The menu is quite extensive and varied: salads, soups, grilled vegetables, tempuras, lots of meat and fish dishes. It's good in a pinch, but bland... kind of like the décor.

Cheaper than renting a DVD!
Built in the early 20's, after years of being an ordinary neighborhood film theater, was restored in the late 80's and became the main outlet for Spain's national film archives. They play about four films a day, six days a week (closed on Mondays and most bank holidays as well). First session begins around 4 pm. Chances are, they're playing something you want to see this month, be it John Ford, John Waters or John Woo. Tickets are only 2,50€.
I like the cafe in the lobby too, it's a great meeting point.

Chinese supermarket
I'm looking at a receipt for a pack of hard tofu (65 cents), a pack of flat dry wheat noodles (70 cents) and a large bottle of Pearl River soy sauce (1,95€).
Not everything is that cheap, but if you like making your own Chinese food: be it really authentic and elaborate or just a glorified Ramen... this place is heaven!
They also have quite a selection of rice cookers in several price ranges.

Good location in downtown Mexico City, 5-10 minute walk away from the Zoco. Crusty and colorful crowd, including long-term residents. Parties and concerts held in the lobby from time to time.
