I like it
Large and relatively new restaurant in the Calle Pez area, with excellent service and delicious food. Thin-crust gourmet pizzas, pasta, panini, and salads are the main specialties. There's a couple of more exotic things worth mentioning like red tuna ceviche or cheese fondue (though not exotic, it makes dining here more eclectic) and desserts like sticky rice or white chocolate and violet candy ice-cream.
Lamucca is not cheap, but I didn't find it unreasonably expensive for the quality of your dining experience. Sometimes the music was a little loud. Most dishes are 10-20€ .
For a Tuesday night, the place was quite busy.
Apparently they double as a furniture store: the chairs have price tags on them.

Ever so often I make the mistake of ordering pasta at Italian restaurants in Madrid, thinking that this time it won't taste overcooked and oversauced. My pasta at Pulcinella was not exceptionally bad, but it wasn't good either. Next time I'll order pizza. There will be a next time, though, because the salad was good and the tiramisu was the best I've had in ages.
It would be a romantic atmosphere if the tables weren't so crowded together.

argentinian pizza stop
I've been going to this Argentine pizzeria since I was a teenager and I still love it. They moved across the street a couple of years (?) ago, but the formula is still the same: you eat standing or at tall counter-like tables. So it's the perfect transition from pre-dinner drinks to post-dinner drinks... ;-)
My favorite dish here is the pascualina, a spinach pie with feta cheese and onions, seasoned with nutmeg... but the pizzas are great too.
You usually get a complimentary piece of their cake with dulce de leche over it... which I'm not super fond of, but I appreciate the gesture. And the owners are really funny characters.

best pizza on the way to Malasaña
This place is really small and almost always packed, but they serve delicious pizzas. Go for a quick bite on your way to Malasaña.

When you need food, but don't have the time or the urge to sit down for a meal, this little take-away place can be a lifesaver.

Thin crust pizza and fresh pasta. One of the better Italian restaurants I've been to in Madrid.

Good pizza. Gets noisy and crowded on weekends, but fun anyway. They also deliver.
