This is one of my favourite places in the Cuatro Caminos area. It's pretty popular but you can normally get a table fairly quickly and it gives the place a good atmosphere. The tapas are pretty tasty and not too highly priced. It's also a good place to pop in for a cider and they give you a decent tapa with your drink compared to many other places.

Although a number of tapas restaurants have popped up in Glasgow over recent years, this is definitely the best that I've been to. The original Cafe Andaluz in the West End has been around for a while and as it's a fairly small place and couldn't meet the increasing demand, they opened this restaurant just off George Square.
It's decorated in the same way as the original restaurant with ceramic tiles all over to get the authentic Andalucian feeling. Although you can have a nice meal here as a couple, this is a great place for groups. I've been here a few times on work nights outs and most people are pretty happy with what they are offered. If you're in a large enough group, the best thing to do is order the whole menu and you should in theory get a chance to sample everything (depending how greedy your mates are). Two or three tapas are about right per person, although you can always order more if you still have a gap.
Tortilla española and patatas bravas are pretty safe options for just about anyone, although I'd definitely recommend the stuffed aubergine and chorizo. There is also an option for a tapas-sized paella which comes in a portion which is just enough to try it. You can also order a full sized paella for at least 2 people if you don't fancy trying the tapas but for your first trip at least, you should really give them a try as you don't know what you're missing!

This is the Indian restaurant with probably the best view in Glasgow. You look right out onto the front of the Kelvingrove Art Galleries so you can't complain about the setting but the food doesn't disappoint either.
This is the first Indian restaurant that I've been to which has jumped on the tapas bandwagon, which is a fantastic idea. Too many people are paranoid about ordering a whole course of something that they might not like that they end up sticking to the same thing - which is pretty dull! This format gives you the opportunity to try loads of different things and if there's something that you don't like, then I'm sure whoever you're with will be happy enough to finish it off. I tried loads of different things for the first time here and liked the lot!
It's a really good choice although, understandably due to their style of dining, you can't book. Although it's a popular place, it's still worth giving it a go even at the weekend; they're pretty good at finding space to fit you in.

Unique and very impressive
This is an amazing place which has to be seen to be believed. Apparently they spent a million pounds doing the inside of this place up - and it shows! The main bar is done up with statues dotted around the place and works of art hanging from the wall. The courtyard is also really impressive. You have to pinch yourself to remember that you're sitting in the centre of Glasgow.
The restaurant upstairs has a really contemporary design and the tapas are really well presented and tasty too. They tend to run special offers quite often so look out for them and you could get yourself a good deal.
The club downstairs isn't bad, although it does tend to have a slightly older clientèle. It's worth giving it a go if you can get in early enough before they start charging.
It's definitely worth checking this place out. It tends to be pretty quiet during the week though and you find yourself kicking around in a massive room with very few people but if the open-flamed fire is lit at least you can hog that!
