This bar is near perfect in my opinion. It's small, but not claustrophobic, dark, but not cave-like, and casual but not a bro bar. The interior has great lighting, neat art on the walls, and several tables.
The music probably varies depending on the DJ, but when I was there it was a great mixture of '80s and '90s alternative (Supergrass, etc.).
The drinks were standard price for Manhattan: $6 for beer on tap, $6 for a whiskey sour. The crowd was mostly people in their mid-20s, kind of hip but not hipsters. The bartenders were friendly. My only complaint is that the music was just a little too loud, making conversation a little difficult.
